Would you know what to do if someone was having a heart attack, or if your child began choking? No one wants to think about these scenarios, but they could happen. The best thing one can do is learn how to respond when an emergency occurs. Your response could mean the difference between life and death.
As part of our expanded Community Wellness Program, Carson Valley Medical Center is now offering a HeartSaver AED course taught by American Heart Association Instructors.
This course is intended for non-clinical personnel, and focuses on training the lay rescuer to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies with adult, child, and infant victims. It covers emergency resuscitation techniques, prevention, use of barrier devices, and an AED. This course also has a First Aid component.
